Board meeting next week
The HMPOA board will hold an open meeting on Tuesday, 8 February, 6:30PM. Any member is welcome to attend, but due to space limitations we need to know if you plan to attend by Friday, 4 Feb. (If we have no more than 8 people we’ll hold the meeting at the Dulaney’s house on Turkey Ridge. If we have more than 8 we’ll meet at an alternate site, such as the Ruritan building.)

Topics for the meeting include

If you have other topics you think need the board’s attention, please submit those in advance. We will post minutes of the board meeting on this website.

If you want to receive future notices of road conditions, emergencies, lost pets, newsletters, etc. . . .
We must have your email address. We’ve begun sending email notices when we see road conditions we think you’ll want to know about. These are only unofficial, and only as we experience them…but they might be a good heads-up if you’re wondering before going out. Also, occasionally someone wants to get the word out about a missing pet, or someone has a service to offer (e.g., clearing snow or leaves) that we can publicize with an email.

New neighbors
Martha and Marc Silling recently purchased the Keller’s house, and plan to move from their current home in Ohio this spring. Both are recently retired (Marc as of last Friday), and are looking forward to moving here and starting the next phase of their lives.

Marc runs and rides a motorcycle, and both enjoy walking in the woods. They’re looking forward to meeting others here with similar interests. More on Marc and Martha as time for their move approaches.

New HMPOA address
The new address for HMPOA is 15551 Hardwick Mountain, Gordonsville, VA 22942. Mail will be forwarded from PO Box 94 as long as the PO allows, but please start using the new address now. This move will save the Association money and make it easier for our treasurer to get mail at her convenience.

Magazine Exchange still active
If you want to share recent magazines, you may find something of interest in the large white mailbox next to the community mailboxes. You’re also invited to leave copies of recent magazines you’ve received for others to read.
